Avane Shrimannarayana the Philosophical Thought in English

‘Avane Srimannarayana’ is a brand new popular Kannada movie dubbed in multiple Indian languages! Now playing at locations in Kannada, Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam and soon to release in Hindi.

It is fantasy comedy action movie and is entertaining movie lovers with full houses.

Ever wondered what is the philosophical  thought behind this story or movie in ‘Avane Srimannarayana’?

We got a chance to meet and discuss with the movie makers and discussed about the movie in detail.

Here is the excerpt of the thought behind the movie.

1. We all know about the ‘Samudra Mathana’ (ocean churning) story according to Indian mythology right? All the gods and demons start fighting with each other. When gods approached lord Narayana, he told them to do Samudra Manthana, so that Amruta (the nectar of immortality) will come up. While churning the ocean many objects came out. Those included good and bad objects like, Chandra (moon), Lakshmi, Parijata flower, Airavatha elephant, Varuni a thing needed to create alcohol, halahala poison, apsaras etc.

Devatas took all the good objects and demons took all the bad (not so useful in the long run) items.

Devatas (gods) started doing good things after taking the good objects and asuras (demons) continued doing bad deeds.

Considering the above philosophy, human mind is the ocean and there will be continuous churning (manthana) happening inside the mind where there is a Narayana and Rakshasas. Good thoughts and bad thoughts keep coming to the human mind, which are a product of this churning.

If Good thoughts come, then person will do good things, achieve something and Narayana is awakened in the person. If bad thoughts come, he will loose all the energy in thinking about it, doing bad things to others etc.” So there is a Narayana and Rakshasa in each and every human being”

Its up to us, human beings, how we think and use our thoughts, that make us good or bad human beings. So every human being even a normal person who awakens the Narayana in him can become a Hero and hence the term “Rise of a Hero” and the contradiction is also true.

2. Goddess Lakshmi also came out during samudra manthana. Wife of Lord Narayana.

Lakshmi represents both wealth and a lady (female) or life partner.

A man (male) looks for both wealth and a lady in Lakshmi. So in this movie the Narayana in him wants the heroine(Laxmi) and the pot of gold(Laxmi) which he gets at the end.

So Rakshith Shetty, used these ancient mythological philosophies in the movie to create ‘Avane Srimannarayana’ and weaves a story around this thought using humor, action and a plot.

The individual interpretation of the plot and movie is left to the viewer and there is no attempt to preach anything to the viewer. If there is a view you believe that you got from watching this movie please leave comments below using Fb and we will definitely get it noted.
